Principal
Clarissa Fleming
An enthusiastic educational leader with a passionate commitment to student development and a positive school climate, Clarissa Fleming became the principal of NC Cyber Academy Middle School in July of 2019.
Prior to accepting this position she reigned as the Principal of Hope Charter Leadership Academy, which earned a national distinction, the prestigious Lighthouse School Certification from the Franklin Covey Corporation. She has also served as a high school assistant principal in the Wake County Public School System. Inclusive of her administration career, she has served as an elementary and middle school classroom teacher in both the charter and public school systems.
Principal Fleming holds a BS degree in Business Administration from Elizabeth City State University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Master of School Administration and Leadership, both from North Carolina State University. Originally from Dinwiddie, Virginia, she comes from a proud family of educators as both her father and mother have over 37 years of service as retired educators. Clarissa has one beautiful daughter, Brooke, and an amazing husband, Rhoderick who is also in educational administration at Wake Technical Community College and DeVry University. Ms. Fleming has a special interest in graphic design, DIY projects, and event planning.
Principal Fleming strongly believes that successful schools set high expectations for all stakeholders. Everyone has a responsibility to ensure that they are doing their part to assist in achieving desired goals. When all stakeholders are working toward a common purpose, the chance for success increases dramatically.

Assistant Principal
Cher T. Perry
Mrs. Perry joined NC Cyber Academy in August 2019 and is extremely excited about supporting teachers and students. Assistant Principal Perry holds a Master of Arts in Executive Leadership Studies, from Gardner-Webb University, with her undergraduate studies at Elizabeth City State University in Biology, and Virginia State University in Curriculum & Instruction.
Assistant Principal Perry has extensive experience as a Data and Curriculum Coordinator, and School Administrator for the past 7 years. Born in California, yet raised in rural Virginia, she is a lover of all things outdoors with a special interest in gardening and crafts. She has two sons that she is extremely proud of as well as an amazing husband, Phelan, who is a fellow educator serving as Principal in the Wake County Public School System.
A life-long learner that is committed to student advocacy, effective and positive instructional practices based on data analysis, and strategic leadership systems.
